The Harriette, 1925
History
The Harriette was originally owned and used as a Manager’s cottage by the Onkaparinga Woollen Mill, which operated in Lobethal between 1872 - 1993. An icon of the Australian wool industry, the mill was famous for its pure Australian wool blankets, and during its operation, significantly contributed to South Australia’s economy. To reflect The Harriette’s history, a selection of beautiful Onkaparinga blankets are provided for guests’ use.
A classic bungalow built in the 1920s and meticulously restored, The Harriette is brimming with heritage cottage charm, with high ceilings, original doors, brick fireplace surround, and warm timber floorboards - all coupled with modern amenities.
