Simpson Cottage, c. 1864
Sleeps 6 | Bedrooms 3 | Bathrooms 1
Simpson Cottage is a heritage-listed property, built c. 1864, with convict-cut sandstone. It was the original home of the Simpson family; one of the first settlers south of the Hacking River. The cottage has been beautifully restored, with many of the original features retained including wrought iron lacework, original fireplace, timber lined ceilings, French doors, and front door with the original lock.
With three bedrooms sleeping up to six guests, it caters for groups of couples or families. Beds are adorned with sumptuous European flax linen sheets, handmade by your host, Tara. The spacious bathroom has underfloor heating, walk-in rainwater shower, and luxury freestanding bath.
A newly renovated kitchen features polished concrete benchtops, oven, gas stove top, dishwasher and Nespresso machine - or if you’d prefer to cook outdoors, a large BBQ awaits, with seating for 8 guests in the enclosed gazebo.
The cottage’s location makes it the perfect getaway - Bundeena sits on the edge of the Royal National Park, just one hour south of Sydney’s CBD.
