Open Day at Hold Cottage

Hold Cottage, in the main street of Gunning (between Goulburn & Yass, and under an hour from Canberra) is so much more than a quaint cottage with beautiful historic accommodation. Hold Cottage has become a little hub of creative connection and community in the area. Owners & hosts Belinda and Tim have close ties with local residents and small businesses, bringing people together through creative workshops at held the cottage during the year.

This weekend, you’re invited to visit Hold Cottage at their Open Day on Saturday, 11 December between 10am - 2pm. Take a wander through the cottage, make yourself a cuppa in the kitchen or perhaps a homemade lemonade, relax in the lounge room, or sit outside in the garden and try your hand at some giant outdoor games.

There’ll also be a curated showcase of some of the region’s fantastic small businesses. Browse the stalls scattered amongst the gardens, and have a chat to the makers of handcrafted items, gourmet local produce and teas, handmade children’s and baby wear, and lots more.

Why not take a day trip to the country this Saturday to discover the historic township of Gunning, and do a little Christmas shopping - knowing you’re supporting small regional businesses, especially after such a challenging time of late. A lovely way to start the festive season.
